Much Ado About Nothing

Ok, so I have been attempting to publish a post about my day yesterday and walking around an old town near my house. Unfortunately some of the pictures are having issues so it will be posted later tonight. I've been quite angry at my computer! It just won't work right for me. It's terribly sad.

This got me to thinking about the play Much Ado About Nothing. I was working, sweating and beating my brains out over nothing! Gotta love Shakespeare. Or at least love his work. To be honest Shakespeare wasn't the best human being and he wasn't faithful to his wife and his plays were a little far out. But they have been remember these past 400 years and more.

Much Ado About Nothing is a play about love. Yep. Romance. Hero and Claudio are madly in love but the "bad guy" in the play Don John is determined that no one should be happy and plots against them both so they won't be married. The other two main characters are Benedick and Beatrice. Two people determined to stay single and hate each other. But end up falling madly in love. It takes place in Italy, where many of Shakespeare's play's take place, and it quite wonderful.

It's a bit odd, because how the play unfolds it seems that Hero and Claudio have just met and suddenly, BAM, they are engaged and going to get married in the next day or two. But in reality they have probably known each other quite some time and seeing each other again makes them realize that they are in love and they want to get married.

My favorite part of the book is when everyone is plotting and planning to make Beatrice and Bendick fall in love. If you don't know what I'm talking you should read the play or watch the movie. It's most excellent.
